Perspectives: Science & Culture

As citizens of a democratic nation, we must legitimize our human aesthetic through the institutionalization of a new brand of cultural values and associated practices. Our young intellectuals will shoulder this burden. The real challenge that this immense responsibility poses is a matter of developing our modern presumptions in favor of sustainability. The question of interest is “Why should I care?” The quality of the answer, in any discipline, is affirmed by our tendency to take action far beyond just being a reactionary measure. Habitualizing this fundamental tendency to act during our developmental ages is a crucial step, and imparting the sense of self-reliance to the youth must be of vital importance to our leaders moving forward. If the future is of any interest to us, we must also seriously consider the direct and indirect consequences of the forces at play amongst all stakeholders. Moreover, an intent observation of their functions of discourse enables us an awareness of the dualism in their narratives.
